The property is located on the limestone plateau, and the soil is typical of this prestigious appellation, with a stéride clay-limestone terroir. The grape varieties are classic for this region of Bordeaux, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, the latter making up the majority. The vines are cultivated using integrated farming methods, and experts regularly praise the elegance and character of the exceptional wines produced each year by the Bécot family, with great regularity.

The estate remains a family property. Gérard and Dominique Bécot took over from their father, before passing the estate on to their own children. Today, it is managed by Juliette Bécot, Gérard's daughter, and her husband, Julien Barthe. Caroline and Pierre Bécot, Dominique's children, have also joined the family adventure.

Beau-Séjour Bécot’s vineyard spans 18.5 hectares, with 16.52 hectares planted primarily with Merlot (70%), along with Cabernet Franc (24%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (6%). The vines, averaging 40 years old, are planted on chalky soils rich in fossilized starfish. Harvesting is done by hand, and the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in 80-100% new barrels, followed by 16 to 18 months of aging in the cellar at a constant 16°C. The estate produces around 60,000 bottles annually.
