Quinta de Val da Figueira 10 Year Old Tawny

An impressive, ten year old Tawny Port at Quinta de Val da Figueira, from a beautiful  estate overlooking the Douro just a few kilometres downstream from Pinhão. The farm has belonged to the current owners for three generations, led today by the warm João Calém Hoelzer, half-Douro, half-Scottish, who runs 16 hectares of vineyards.

A superb aged tawny is the most elegant, quality port one can buy and, as a result of its long ageing in barrel, it keeps better than vintage port once the bottle is opened. One of the very finest 10 year old Tawnys in the Douro. It is amber in colour and is rich, smooth and aromatic. There are spicy aromas with underlying tones of figs and nuts.
