Pomerol - Château L'Évêché

A small vineyard from this most sought-after famous commune of Bordeaux. 

The François Janoueix family has long been dedicated to cultivating this exceptional terroir to produce outstanding Pomerol wine. The vines are 50 years old and thrive on gently sloping, sandy, and gravelly terraces formed by the Isle River, a tributary of the Dordogne. The vineyard enjoys an ideal south-facing exposure, perfect for ripening Merlot grapes.
Modern viticulture techniques are meticulously tailored to each plot, ensuring the harvest reaches perfect ripeness. The vineyard is carefully sorted two weeks before harvesting to eliminate any undesirable or unripe grapes, ensuring the highest quality. The grapes are hand-harvested and the wine is aged in new oak barrels for 10 to 12 months.

Château L'Évêché is a representative wine of Pomerol: power but with finesse. The wine is round and presents balanced tannins. Rich and round with a gorgeous succulent texture with delicious plummy fruit.
