Margaux - Château La Fortune

This wine has a very precise and detailed bouquet with graphite infused black fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with svelte tannins. There are notes of red fruits and subtle undertones of game. It broadens out towards the finish with rich Cru Bourgeois flavours.

Situated along the left side of the Gironde estuary, Margaux is the most southern Médoc appellation. Located on an exceptional terroir, with hilltops of ancient gravels from the Pyrenees and the Garonne, the Margaux appellation is the only one of Haut Medoc to bear the name of a Premier Grand Cru Classe. Château la Fortune, with its character and elegance, is worthy among these great wines. 

Chateau la Fortune is bursting with notes of wild blueberries, black cherry compote and plum preserves. There are subtle hints of dried Provence herbs, cedar chest and graphite. The medium-bodied palate offers chewy tannins and soft acidity with a slightly lean mid-palate and long finish.
