Lalande-de-Pomerol - Chateau La Gravière 2019

A dark hue and a spicy nose. The palate is supple and firm, the wine is well centred with lovely aromas on the finish. This wine has an excellent balance of earth, leather and sugar cane on the nose. It offers a superb balance of tannins and acidity and finishes with a subtle plum note on the palate. 

The 7.5h Right Bank vineyard of Chateau La Gravière is planted to 92% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon. The terroir is mostly gravel and clay soils.

The Pere Verge family also count among their chateau holdings, three well-known estates in Pomerol, Chateau Le Gay, Chateau La Violette, and Chateau Montviel. The family also owns Monteviejo, which is situated in Mendoza Argentina.

The vineyards of Monteviejo are located in Clos de Los Siete, in the Mendoza appellation, which we are proud to also have in our Earle Wines portfolio. All the estates are now ably managed and controlled by the son of Catherine Pere Verge, Henri Parent.
