Châteauneuf-Du-Pape 'La Fontaine' - Domaine Grand Veneur

'La Fontaine' is a locality ideally oriented for the production of great white wines of Châteauneuf du Pape. The plot is north-facing on clay-limestone hillsides. It is very well ventilated, facing the wind (mistral). This sector allows Roussanne to have a slow but optimal maturity while maintaining a magnificent freshness of the wine.

Intense golden yellow colour. Very complex nose of citrus, exotic fruits, quince and honey accompanied by a light vanilla. The attack on the palate is powerful, the wine structured. This cuvée is exceptional for its richness, its character that is both generous and of excellent freshness. Often considered one of the greatest white Châteauneuf du Pape wines of the appellation, it is by definition a magnificent white wine for gastronomy.

White Châteauneuf du Pape is not very common so the white wine from this area is produced in very small quantities – it is fragrant and sumptuous and a true jewel in the crown.
