Monsieur Alain Jaume is an extremely knowledgeable and dedicated producer. His wines are powerful and rich with a distinctly scented bouquet. A masterfully made wine from a vineyard with many Wine Advocate and Decanter awards.

The colour is ruby-opaque. The nose exudes both aromas of ripe red fruits (kirsch, blackberry) and spice box. The wine is rich, full and full-bodied. The length is important thanks to the impression of salinity provided by the silky tannins. A style of Châteauneuf du Pape with intense and subtle characters that express all the characteristics of its terroir.

Decanter Score - 93 Points (2022)

'A huge wine, fruity and powerful, but fresh too. Mouthcoating fresh berry fruit, fine tannins, well-balanced acidity and good length. Technically very impressive. A little herbal note brings some complexity. A good value option, for those that enjoy powerful, tannic Châteauneufs for early drinking (though will age well too). 30% aged in old oak, the rest in concrete tank.' - Matt Walls (Tasting Sept 2023)
